Living with Embers: (Son of Rain #4)Living with Embers: by Michelle Irwin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the last book in the Son of Rain series and tells the final story of Evie & Clay from Clay's point of view. This completes both companion series "Son of Rain" and "Daughter of Fire" so that either series can be read alone or together. Michelle Irwin holds true to the entire series in this book and it helps the reader understand what occurred from another point of view. She also wrote about love conquering all and that no matter what life throws at you if you work hard at something and truly believe then the outcome might be what you wish for.

If love is a river of memories, what happens when the water runs dry?

After all they’ve fought for, Clay Jacobs and Evie Meyers are finally able to find peace and a joy they never expected to experience. There is only one problem—the changes they’ve helped initiate in the Rain are under threat. In order to protect the new order, and his family, Clay must take one final mission.

When things go wrong, Clay must trust his instincts as he’s sent on a hunt for the creature responsible. Will he recognize the phoenix in time to save her life, or will their love end in tragedy as prophesized?

Physis (Phoebe Reede: The Untold Story #4)Physis by Michelle Irwin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Michelle Irwin has a way of catching you in and captivating your heart and soul in her writing. This is the 4th book in Phoebe's story and what a story it is. This story is heartbreaking at times but also shows the love that Beau and Phoebe's family have for her. To truly appreciate this book you must read Pheobe's Story from the beginning

Valamine (Lover's Rift, #1)Valamine by Jane Stoker

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story, set in a medieval time we meet Valamine who should be a soft gifted healer but as the story evolves and much to the annoyance of the other main character Nyle she proves herself to be a totally kickass heroine. This story is well paced with just the right amount of action and romance.

Valamine is a gifted healer, and her life studying with the herb witch, Elder-Sha Ameena, is peaceful. When her home is attacked and her elders slain, the fate of the land is thrust upon her with the dying breath of her mentor. Now she must leave everything she knows and journey to a far-off city to stop the forces of hell from overwhelming her world. But it isn't the daemons, hungry for her blood, making her nerves shatter and her heart pound like a tribesman’s drum, it's the two hundred and fifty pounds of lean, toned warrior sworn to keep her from harm.

Fighting is what Nyle lives for. He relishes the rush of battle, even with the odds against him and a horde of daemons bearing down on him. When he’s tasked with the latest mission, it is a seemingly simple one—protect the girl, save the world. Easy enough for a skilled warrior who prides himself on coolness under pressure. Something about the bold healer though is testing his restraint to beyond breaking, and he can’t keep his mind on the game. But if he fails and the daemons come, how can he face losing his bewitching Valamine

Decay (Phoebe Reede: The Untold Story, #3.2)Decay by Michelle Irwin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Daddy looking for his Baby

Another example of the magical writing by Michelle Irwin, told from a Daddy's pov. His little baby turned 18 and living in another country goes missing. His only focus is finding her & bring her home. If you are reading The Pheobe Reede series this is a must have.

A father will go to any lengths to rescue his princess.

Declan Reede was reluctant to let his little girl go to live in the States. His concerns are justified when she calls in the middle of the night before disappearing.

With Phoebe lost, and all clues pointing in one direction, will Declan be able to piece together the truth? And will he be able to find her while trying to avoid letting his family fall into decay?

Bombshell (Dev Haskell - Private Investigator, Book 4)Bombshell by Mike Faricy

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I found it a little slow to start with but it I did finish it, I found the pace picked up toward the end and the story ended a lot better than it began.

"Dev is at it again. Put the coffee on, and plan to stay up late, this is a real page turner." -The Irish Gazette

Dysfunctional, bumbling, crazy babe-magnet Dev Haskell, Private Investigator, has just landed the job of a lifetime. He'll be the envy of every guy with a heartbeat: Dev is hired to provide security for a team of beautiful English roller derby stars (with stage names like Harlotte Davidson and Helen Killer). Though he'd rather be standing guard in the shower room, he finds himself in a world of trouble when he's mistaken for the stalker-turned-killer he's been tracking.

With an attorney who drinks too much and a team of females ready to kill him, Dev must prove his innocence, all the while finding the real killer and protecting himself against the wiles of yet another irresistible and dangerous woman.
